Storytime, Pool & Lanterns

The children hear a Lao folktale and make their own stick puppets while the parents enjoy the pool and the games garden; then the whole family makes paper lanterns and lights them by the river at dusk.

At 14:00 children aged 4 to 10 settle in for a story from Lao folklore, then turn the characters into stick puppets of their own. This kids storytime in Luang Prabang runs for 90 minutes and goes ahead in rainy weather too, so the afternoon stays easy to plan. While the children listen and craft, the grown-ups have the infinity pool and the chess garden. At 16:30 the family comes together again to make paper lanterns, which you carry down to the Khan River and light at dusk. The Namkhan is by the Khan River, about 15 minutes from Luang Prabang town by tuk-tuk or taxi. A free shuttle runs between the city centre and the resort — message us on WhatsApp for times and pick-up points.
