The day starts at midday on the river beach of the Khan River, with a picnic basket made from produce grown on the resort's own organic farm. After lunch the afternoon is yours: swim in the infinity pool, rest on the river beach or play a slow game in the chess garden. At 16:30 you sit down together to make paper lanterns by hand. As the light fades you carry them down to the water and light them — the moment this romantic picnic in Luang Prabang is built around. The Namkhan is by the Khan River, about 15 minutes from Luang Prabang town by tuk-tuk or taxi. A free shuttle runs between the city centre and the resort — message us on WhatsApp for times and pick-up points.

Yes. Cancellation is free up to 4 hours before your day.

How do I get to The Namkhan?

Take a tuk-tuk or taxi — about 15 minutes from Luang Prabang town or from the airport. There is also a free shuttle from the city centre; message us on WhatsApp for times and pick-up points.

Can children join?
