Roots is The Namkhan's farm-to-table restaurant, on a terrace beside our own organic eco-farm and above the Khan River. It is also the resort's one central kitchen: every meal at The Namkhan is cooked here, with more than 60 products from the farm.
The Farm-to-Table Lunch is two courses and dessert from our organic farm. Choose it when you reserve a table for lunch at Roots: seatings run from 11:30 to 14:00 and each lasts 1 hour 30 minutes, so there is time for a slow meal before a walk through the gardens or down to the river beach. The same lunch is part of four of our day passes: Craft & River Lunch, Farm Cooking & River Play, Gym, Pool & Lunch, and Plant, Harvest & Farm Lunch.
The Namkhan is about 15 minutes from Luang Prabang town by tuk-tuk or taxi, with a free shuttle from the city centre.
Farm to table here means the two courses and dessert come from our organic farm and are cooked at Roots.

What is the Farm-to-Table Lunch?
Two courses and dessert from our organic farm, cooked at Roots, the resort's farm-to-table restaurant. It is priced per person.
When is it served?
At lunch. Tables at Roots have seatings at 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 13:00, 13:30 and 14:00, and each seating is 1 hour 30 minutes.
Is this lunch part of a day pass?
Yes. It is the lunch in Craft & River Lunch, Farm Cooking & River Play, Gym, Pool & Lunch, and Plant, Harvest & Farm Lunch.
Do I pay online?
No. There is nothing to pay online: pay at the resort, or by the BCEL payment link we send with your confirmation.
How do I get to The Namkhan?
The resort is about 15 minutes from Luang Prabang town by tuk-tuk or taxi, and about 15 minutes from the airport by taxi. There is also a free shuttle between the city centre and the resort; message us on WhatsApp for times and pick-up points.
